I’ve loved words ever since I learnt to read and cringe over mistakes, typos, and misplaced apostrophes. Known as a walking dictionary, no matter what my primary job role has been, I have always been relied on to spot and correct errors in other people’s writing.

I earned the nickname Moneypenny (the MP in MP Manuscripts) during my time as a military secretary at an RAF base, becoming well known for my resourcefulness, reliability, and problem-solving abilities, where my main role was to translate handwritten (often very badly) reports into actual English that made sense.
